Pupils arrive at Clifton from a range of local schools and a variety of backgrounds. All pupils are valued equally and are encouraged to take a full and active part in the life of our school.
The welcome programme for children arriving in Year 7 begins in Years 5 and 6. Through the work of The Clifton Partnership pupils in KS2 will meet Clifton staff on a regular basis. Pupils in our partner primary schools will be taught a range of subjects by our staff and will often come into Clifton to use our Specialist facilities.
By the time Y6 pupils visit Clifton for their two day induction programme in the summer term they are already familiar with the school, its staff and the Year 7 tutor team. We are committed to ensuring that any transition to Clifton is a happy, friendly and positive experience.
Open days and evenings are held for prospective pupils and parents to look around Clifton. Further, anyone is welcome to arrange a visit at a mutually convenient time.
