A second choice may be made in the Options section providing students do not select BTEC Performing Arts from the Vocational Subjects.

To maximise your potential in the arts, Expressive Arts is offered to all students.  It is an activity and creative course allowing students to use skills learnt in Dance, Drama, Music, Art and English to make an arts presentation.

Over the years certain combinations of arts have been very successful.  These are

  1. Visual and Verbal Arts
  2. Dance, Drama and Verbal Arts (Performance)
  3. Music and Verbal Arts

Your teachers will know where you will do best.

Whilst there are 3 ways to study Expressive Arts in Clifton, you can only choose Expressive Arts once as which ever route you follow is still ‘Expressive Arts GCSE’.

For example if you choose Expressive Arts & Visual and Verbal’ in the Specialist School block you cannot choose Expressive Arts Performance as another option.  If in doubt, check with Mrs Reed or Mrs Keay.
