Literacy
Our Literacy work fosters an enjoyment of reading, enabling individuals to read with fluency and confidence. We continue to promote reading throughout school and encourage parents to read with their children at home then check and sign their reading record page in planners.
Following testing, target groups receive extra help in reading, spelling and basic skills. More able pupils receive extension work in intensive reading, numeracy and problem solving activities. To ensure future success, appreciation and understanding of literature pupils need to READ, READ, READ!
